Hot Desk Login

To log in to a hot desk set, invoke login (by entering a feature access code or pressing a softkey), and then enter a hot desk DN and User PIN at the prompts.

The following conditions apply to hot desk login:

If Hot Desk PIN Security is enabled, a Hot Desk user who logs in with a default or expired PIN is automatically rerouted to the IVR system in MiCollab Nupoint UM for a PIN change.
Both the hot desk set and your prime line must be idle (no ringing, active, or held call) before you are logged in. Starting a login while the prime line is in use is allowed but only takes effect when line becomes idle.

If someone else is logged in on the set, the set displays the user's name and extension number. If you continue with the login, the logged in user is automatically logged out. (Forcing a logout in this manner is called a log over.)
If the set attempts to register with a remote ICP, it displays a progress bar indicating the progress of the login.
If you log in to a second set, you will automatically be logged out from the first set.
The method used to log in (feature key or feature access code) is set dependent. Some sets support both, others support one or the other. See the Operation section for the method to use on each set.

NOTE: The prompts presented to the user display in the language of the hot desk DN provided the phone that the user is logging in to supports it; otherwise, they display in English.

Operation

5005 IP Phone, 5205 IP Phone, and 5207 IP Phone

Dial the Hot Desking Login feature access code.

The set displays either "No User Logged In" or the name and DN of the current user for 3 seconds before displaying the Ext. # prompt.

Press #.
Enter your User PIN.
Press #.

5010 IP Phone, 5215 IP Phone and 5215 IP Phone (Dual Mode), 5212 IP Phone, 5304 IP Phone, and 5312 IP Phone

Dial the Hot Desking Login access code.

Press *.
Enter your Hot Desk User Extension Number.
Press #.
Enter your User PIN.
Press #.

5020 IP Phone, 5220 IP Phone and 5220 IP Phone (Dual Mode), 5224 IP Phone, 5324 IP Phone, and Navigator

Press the HotDesk (no user) or Logout (current user) softkey.

Press the Login softkey.

If prompted to log out the current user, press the Confirm softkey.

Enter your Hot Desk User Extension Number.
Press the OK softkey.
Enter your User PIN.
Press the OK softkey.

5320/5320e IP Phone, 5330/5330e IP Phone, 5340/5340e IP Phone, 5360 IP Phone, and 69xx IP Phones

To log into a Hot Desking phone (the phone must be idle):

Press the key you have programmed to HotDesking.
Press the Login softkey.
Using the phone keys, enter your Hot Desk User Extension Number, and then press OK.
Enter your User PIN and press OK.

5560 IPT

Press the Menu key.
Press the Login key.
Enter your Hot Desk User Extension Number for the DN.
Enter your User PIN.
Press the Login command key.

5140 IP Phone and 5240 IP Phone

From the Phone View screen, press the Hot Desking command key.

Press the Login command key.

If prompted to log out the current user, press the Confirm command key.

Enter your Hot Desk User Extension Number, and then press the OK command key.
Enter your User PIN and then press the OK command key.

SpectraLink Wireless Telephones

Press the HotD (no user) or Logo (current user) softkey.

Press the Logi softkey.

If prompted to log out the current user, press the Conf softkey.

Enter your Hot Desk User Extension Number.
Press the OK softkey.
Enter your User PIN.
Press the OK softkey.

5604, 5607, and 5614 Wireless Phones

Press any key to display the login screen.
Press YES.
Enter your username and passcode (your User PIN).
Use the down cursor to move from the username to the PIN, and then to the OK prompt to confirm the login.
You are then presented with a confirmation display indicating whether or not the login was successful.

Mitel SIP-DECT Phones (models 612, 622, 632, and 650)

Dial the Hot Desking Login access code followed by #.

Press until the System Menu opens.
Select Administration.
Select User login.
Enter DN.
Enter User PIN.
